Using the perpetual inventories method with adjustment factor of Almon (1999), a proposal is made of estimating capital stocks, both public and private, in Mexico at the subnational level for the period 2004-2018. Gross state fixed capital formation data, average depreciation rate of 9.7% from INEGI -national counts; fixed capital consumption- were used and weights were calculated for each year. As a result, a series of data consistent with economic fluctuations is obtained, as it follows the trend of gross real fixed capital formation. It also solves the estimation problem inherent in the perpetual inventory method.
